Remember the November 2016 Washington Post story on the secretive outfit that furnished a list of purportedly Russian-backed “fake news” websites?

Well, thanks to some online sleuthing from a couple of bloggers/journalists, there’s good reason to believe that PropOrNot was the brainchild of Michael D. Weiss and the Interpreter staff.

If this is true, it would mean that the “fake news” meme – which Trump turned against its original MSM promoters to the extent that the Washington Post was calling to retire that “tainter term” by January 2017 – was essentially kick-started by a neocon activist masquerading as a journalist who has pushed to have pro-Russian views equated with radical Islam.

Hilarious.

  1. As usual this plotting and scheming was done by a jew. When I first started hearing the words “fake news” and the narrative they were trying to create to censor people with it, I knew it was a jewish creation.

  2. A couple of items on recurring AK topics –

Along with Russia’s upcoming election on 18 March, the election in Italy two weeks earlier on 4 March may also be very significant for Russia itself, for Europe and the world

In Italy, along with some strong showing for the (arguably somewhat fake) populists of comedian Beppe Grillo’s 5-star movement, there may be a decisive surge for the loose coalition involving Silvio Berlusconi, Lega Nord’s Matteo Salvini and others, who are significantly tinged with themes of anti-immigration, nationalism, etc., plus opposition to Brussels, the EU and the euro currency … this group may have significant leadership and control in a new Italian government

This may turn Europe upside-down. Italy’s industrialists are keenly aware that their prosperity has been hugely damaged by the EU-euro arrangements, and that their intrinsically-strong export economy would be doing brilliantly well outside of the German-run regime that Berlusconi has openly called a ‘scam’. The coalition is smart enough not to campaign on leaving the euro (a confusing issue for ordinary people, scaring those with euro bank savings) … but in Italy the strong industry – export cabal, is getting ready to act against the German games that have crushed all the Mediterranean countries

Factor in an upcoming global credit crisis ‘moment’ and you have an Italian torpedo ready to blow up the EU and the euro in its current form … opposing Brussels means better Italian bonds with Russia, and Berlusconi and Putin get along quite ok to begin with

And following up AK’s piece earlier this month on the sticky issue of female suffrage and the female tendencies to support induced 3rd world migration, the poz and all SJW idiocy in general –

Below a photo that captures ‘why female voters are pro-migrant’ in a nutshell, showing Swedish older women and even grand-mother types with their young male migrant squeezes … as Château Heartiste reports, Swedish older women have formed a powerful influence group opposing migrant males being deported, those women picking blokes from migrant centres, to be sexual boy-toys … the worst case being, a middle-aged divorced Swedish mother, who let her Afghan migrant boy toy molest her age 12 daughter in their home, mom totally refusing to protect her child, eject the migrant or call the police … the girl’s ejected father finally got the Afghan arrested

Here’s the gang of older Swedish women showing off their migrant boy toys

New US sanctions against Russia - Note Sevastopol mayor Ovsayannikov in the list. I wonder if it is possible to ask US Gov to add ALL Russian cities mayors to sanctions lists? If it goes this way, we will owe Trump memorial in Moscow for eradicating corruption in Russia, first time in centuries

I honestly think it is simply the most loudmouth and opinionated people (amongst their journalist representatives) on all sides on the spectrum and political issues.

Googling about this Michael Weiss you can see that the opinion-to-knowledge ratio does not seem very high.

I've had some exchanges with Weiss. He's an intellectual lightweight, who ducks good head on dialogue.

In any event, Propornot doesn't seem to be so active. Anonymous cowards come and go.

On another matter brought up at the top of this thread: some of the Jew stuff gets a bit off from reality and serves the anti-Russian propagandists. Related:

Yes - with friends like e.g. 'Russia Insider' making PR for you, who needs enemies. Although with enemies as incompetent as the Weiss guy, who needs friends.

    -

The article you link also mentions the exaggerated allegations in the Western media about 'persecution' of sexual minorities. These whole exaggerations can be neatly put in proportion, from pointing out the fact that they will be generally happier in Moscow, than in Alabama.

All this reality is quite complicated and needs disinterested observers to give any fair-minded summary. But of course, most people are subjected to propagandists of all sides whose real interest is jumping in to 'muddy the water'.

  8. This would never have been allowed to happen off the arctic coast of Alaska, just as no one was ever allowed to eat bratwurst on an American spacecraft:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5317759/Nuclear-powered-icebreaker-smashes-ice.html

What caught my attention was the use of the word “waded” and then the whole paragraph that contained it: “It is unclear whether the icebreaker ‘Taymyr’ noticed the group as it waded through the ice but considering its fast pace things could have ended very differently.” That’s nice.

I would love to have been with those guys when Taymyr went by.

No, but I saw his bizarre propaganda where he tries to claim Israel are some kind of Nazis. If you are actually know anything about Israeli and the Israelis, the opposite is true - they are probably far too liberal and laidback people for their own good. My overview is that the country may even be lacking certain survival instincts.

So with Max Blumenthal we have another example of a propagandist/loudmouth like this Michael Weiss guy, and so many others that it would be too long to list.

The reality is that few intelligent or subtle people go into any of humanities subjects, least of all journalism. And from this community in particular, the result is a lot of loudmouths with little understanding of other countries, but a lot of opinions. Their opinionatedness develops into own peculiar agendas (which they may believe themselves through confirmation bias) and which they try to get other people to accept probably as part of proving it to themselves.

But on Monday, they are going to release a list of wealthy people who could be sanctioned. Much of this will be hitting innocent people (in the sense of people with no connection to the government policies the US disagrees with). It's just collateral damage to make those politicians involved in the policies less popular.
