Okay, so let me tell you the basic thing that is happening here: Trump wants whatever happens in the Ukraine to be a “win.” That is the terms in which he thinks. Everything has to be a “win.”
He’s not actually going to try to remove the Russians from the land they’ve already conquered. But he wants some kind of “win.” Unfortunately, there is no possible “win” for the US in this situation, and what he would need to do is simply recognize that Joe Biden started this war and he cannot turn it into a win any more than he can turn Biden’s dog-eater Haitians into “winners.”
But he’s totally surrounded by neocon liars, and he doesn’t totally understand international relations and still believes America can do anything with its military, so he is going to try to pressure Russia.
Or at least, that’s what he’s starting with.
This was predictable and I predicted it.
Again, I am not going to take a pro or anti Trump position in general. It doesn’t make any sense to do that, as he is just doing seemingly random things, some of which are good and some of which are very bad.
Obviously, prolonging the war in the Ukraine would be bad. However, simply making threats doesn’t mean much, especially when these threats are coming before he’s actually sat down with Vladimir Putin to talk about the situation.

US President Donald Trump has said that Washington could impose more sanctions on Russia if it refuses to engage in talks on settling the Ukraine conflict.
During his Tuesday press conference, Trump was asked if Russian President Vladimir Putin’s reluctance to negotiate will lead to additional curbs against Moscow – on top of the thousands of restrictions already introduced under Joe Biden.
“Sounds likely,” he replied.
Trump, who had been extremely critical of Biden for supplying military aid to Ukraine, did not rule out the possibility of Washington sending more weapons to Kiev during his tenure, saying: “Well, we will look into that.”
However, he insisted that Brussels should “equalize” with Washington when it comes to the amount of support it provides to Ukraine. “We are in there for $200 billion more than the EU. I mean, what are we, stupid? I guess the answer is ‘yes.’ They must think so,” the president said.
He again expressed a readiness to engage in discussions with Putin to end the fighting between Moscow and Kiev. “We are talking to [Ukrainian leader] Zelensky. We are gonna be talking with President Putin very soon and we will see how it all happens,” Trump stressed.
This is really just “tough talk” that I would not put any weight in.
Ending the war in itself would be a “win,” regardless of what happens to the Ukraine. No one gives a shit about the Ukraine, other than sickening tranny psychopaths and the Jews. Also, white women, apparently, but they are basically some combination of tranny and Jew.
Literally, no one cares.
Trump doesn’t want an ugly scene, and he wants to be able to claim he did something impressive, but I really don’t think he wants to prolong Biden’s war.
When it comes to Iran, that’s a totally different story.

These are the constraints for Trump:
1. Efforts to weaken Russia must continue
2. The US must get out of the Ukraine project so that Trump can boast about it and at the same time save its money for Israel’s big plans (esp. Iran)
3. Getting out subsidizing Ukraine must be seen not only a strategic win for Trump but also as a big financial windfall for the US.
How to accomplish all three goals? Trump has already told us:
Ukraine is Europe’s problem not ours. We have an ocean separating us and soon we will have Greenland
NATO should tackle it and to able to do without our participation they must buy weapons from us!
The Europeans need to up their NATO payments to 5%.

The trouble is our track record: the US and the West cannot be expected to abide by any Ukraine agreement which is founded on respect and mutual benefit. The Russian people will say, fool me once shame on the West. Fool me twice shame on Russia. This situation did not change when Trump was in office previously and has not changed now. Russia will only negotiate in the face of a dire internal situation since the risk of future Western aggression after a negotiated peace is very high.
The problem for Trump is that other people are calling the shots. Everything he does involves some sort of horse trade or back room deal. If they want the Ukraine project to continue he will not have any choice since Ukraine is only one of many problems to be addressed. He will not tell Chabad or other above the scenes players what to do unless he thinks they are on the brink of self-destruction.

So Russians will seek to make sure with unalterable hard facts on the ground that no part of Ukraine can possibly remain an existential threat to Russia. Don’t know how they will accomplish that, but that would be the natural thing to do for Putin now: Russia has the momentum and Ukraine is running out of men to feed to the US/UK/EU engineered meatgrinder.
The Ukraine project always had these known outcomes:
1) Russia collapses and is subsequently devoured by the West with help from internal Russian parasites.
2) Nuclear war.
3) Russia defeats Western military power in Ukraine and restores the country back into the Russian sphere of influence by force.
The frozen conflict people like to mention is really the third possibility happening at a leisurely pace. This is currently underway.

As for Somalia, we got driven out after the Battle of Mogadishu where, IIRC, we sustained ~98 casualties; 19 KIA, the rest were wounded. If not for the close air fire support of the 160th SOAR gunships, it could’ve been much worse.
On the flip side, the heavy firepower from the choppers caused plenty of collateral damage and many Somalis who were otherwise neutral, grabbed their AKs and joined the Warlord Mohammed Farah Aidid’s forces in attacking our ground forces that were dispatched to capture him. The craziest part is that Aidid’s son was a U.S. Marine that was stationed aboard a USN vessel off shore from Somalia.
But I digress. At the end of that Battle, hundreds, possibly, thousands of Somali militiamen were killed. Their willingness to absorb so many casualties to drive us out of the Aidid’s turf scared Clinton into withdrawing our forces.

China ruthlessly gutted US manufacturing through predatory pricing. For decades China manipulated its currency to keep its products insanely cheaper than American made. China protected its own manufacturing from imports with tariffs and quotas. The Chinese govt heavily subsidized its own developing industries.

Year after year for decades, mid size US manufacturing companies have sent their manufacturing to China in order to stay in business. Remember when Walmart tried to hold out with only stocking its stores with American made products? All this happened while free trade traitors (Clinton, Bush, Obama) said it would work out in the end because of, you know, comparative advantage. Plus the American public liked buying $30 dvd players and didn’t have much sympathy for corrupt unions.
Forty years later, China has a problem. The billion starving peasants that help destroy American manufacturing by working for $1/day in factory hellholes, want higher wages, safe work environments, health care, etc. Undercutting western manufacturing is not as easy. China has built its country with the strategy that if its products are cheap enough it will continue to grow. Now the playing field is starting to level and China has to shift to a quality, innovative model, after decades of short cutting and cheap labor. Good luck with that.
