The Roe decision was a classic case of ‘legislating from the bench’. But there have been many others. Numerous ‘liberal’ decisions have transformed our civilization, and generally for the worse.

It’s possible that this ‘unpopular’ decision (undoing Roe) will hasten the only realistic solution to America’s growing cultural and racial divide; namely, the gradual re-invigoration of State’s Rights; whereby meaningful (or at least greater) personal and cultural independence can be achieved by allowing each individual state to become more sovereign.

The federal tyranny that was unleashed by Lincoln and his successors must be halted and reversed. So the timing of this decision certainly seems suspicious and I have also wondered if it is intended to provide a cover for states to deny certain rights. However, I think that your list has a “sky is falling” character to it.

In my humble opinion the 4th amendment clearly prohibits the Federal government from mandating a vaccine or any medical treatment. Moreover,

Tenth Amendment
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I am not a legal scholar, but if the 4th says that the right to be secure in your person cannot be violated, then, together with the 10th, vaxx mandates at the state level are also prohibited. Neither the Federal government nor State governments can violate the 4th amendment.

Of course, there is no guarantee that States, or the Federal government, won’t try. The Constitution was effectively thrown out the window a long time ago – warrantless surveillance, endless wars without congress declaring a single one, red flag laws, states boycotting citizens and companies that don’t buy goods from a certain foreign country for a certain reason…the list is endless. But these were in place long before the SCOTUS decision of 6/24/22.

Now, you are going to say, that the decision on abortion enables the states on issues like the vaxx, but I don’t think so. A state mandating a vaxx, or telling your kid that they have to sit in a particular building for 8 hours a day, both violate the 4th. If the government can tell me where I have to be, I am not secure in my person.

But abortion is a different issue – it comes down to moral and philosophical debate about whether an unborn baby is a separate person or not – does prohibiting abortion deny the right of a woman to be secure in her person, or guarantee the right the unborn to be secure in its? Given that women can use contraception, be celibate, or at least choosy in their choice of partner, to me, suggests that there plenty of options for women to guarantee the security of their person before some doctor gets out the forceps. By the time she is pregnant, and particularly by the time of violability, she has already made her choice for herself and it is reasonable to prohibit her from denying personal security to the unborn, just as she is prohibited from murdering her child after it is born.

But at the end of the day, the details of these issues belong in the legislature, in a way that vaxx mandates do not. Roe allowed a group of 9 people to radically alter the culture of our country, with virtually no ability of the people to have any input. The court overstepped.

This is a huge blow against our elites, and I am celebrating, even though I am pro-choice.
